While dressed in police uniforms they waited for their horses to be shod by Farrier Andrew Nixon, in Samuel Rea's Blacksmith shop. After charging the work to the NSW Police Department Dan and Joe mounted their horses and rode across Powell's bridge examining the Telegraph line to see where they may cut the line without it being readily noticed. Ned's plan for the local population to assume that the gang members were police reinforcements was still in play. |
